Ladies With An Attitude, Fellas That Are In The Mood…

Wednesday, May 31st, 2006

I’m leaving in a few minutes to head down to San Jose with two of my girls to see Madonna! And yes, I’m excited and no, I’m not ashamed.

Valleyschwag Heisted My Weekend

Tuesday, May 30th, 2006

So we had a lot of potential plans we were mulling over for this past Memorial weekend — Wine Camp, visiting family in Nevada City, visiting friends in Seattle — but we decided to vacation at home, in San Francisco. Our new sofa was arriving, (!!! Yes, post about that coming soon!!!) and the idea […]

Am I Depriving the World of the Next Mozart?

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

Most nights this is how Thor decompresses when we first get home from work. He sits down at the piano and starts belting out some Elvis Costello, Elton John, Beatles. Quinn usually joins him on one of the many supporting instruments — the strum stick (as seen above and which Quinn refers to as the […]

I Guess It’s Time to Teach Him How to Button His Pants

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

Me: Who’s your best friend at school?
Quinn: Sofia.
Me: Really? why?
Q: Because she helps me with my pants.

Wow, That’s Really Big

Thursday, May 18th, 2006

Everyone who’s had or taken care of a child in the past 10 years knows the book “Guess How Much I Love You” and the universal “I love you big like…” game.
My line to Quinn is usually “I love you big like the universe times infinity”. And his line to me is usually “I love […]

My Child, The Literalist

Monday, May 8th, 2006

This morning the parents were invited to a morning meeting in Quinn’s class at school. The meeting opened with the teacher and kids singing a cute song about animals doing their laundry. In the middle of the song Quinn turned to me and said “But animals not wear any clothes.”

Sometimes Size Really Doesn’t Matter

Thursday, May 4th, 2006

I took Quinn for a haircut this week. He loves to get his haircut. I don’t love to get his haircut. I like his hair a little longer. But the poor kid’s been sweeping his bangs out of his eyes so much it’s become a tic. Plus we don’t get through a day without someone […]

Sometimes You Just Gotta Turn It Off

Monday, May 1st, 2006

I was thinking the other day about how a year and a half ago or so when I was doing freelance consulting from my house in exurbia and only working two and a half to three days a week, I used to shut down my computer on Thursday nights and pretty much, with a few […]

Raising a Kid
I'm Quinn's mom. He's basically The Cutest Kid in the Known Universe. Ok, I know, your kid's cute too, but this one's mine. He was born in March of 2002 and came home from the hospital to a shower of Cherry Blossoms.

Founding Companies
In January 2007 Thor & I joined forces with Lane Becker of Adpative Path to found Satisfaction Unlimited. You can get a sneak peak by going here and clicking on any company or organization that suits your fancy. And you can get more insight by checking out our Satisfaction Blog. Previous to Satisfaction I was a founding partner of Rubyred Labs, a design driven Internet product development firm where we made cool stuff and enjoyed breakfast, particularly when it involved cereal, coffee and grapefruit. Jonathan Grubb is still running Rubyred.

Keeping the Peace
All this has left me craving a nap, but I still somehow manage to find time to travel with my brilliant and adorable husband (and sometimes my friends), experiment in the kitchen, and hit the town with my gorgeous, smart, single gal pals who are in search of kind, eligible men (I know you're out there...)
