Happy Trails
I’ve been a slacker with writing the past couple of weeks. But I blame it on the fact that we’re closing in on finishing two client projects(that we’re really excited about, btw) which means serious crunch time; we threw our Valleyschwag Hoedown party last night (more pix will be posted by many) with over 300 attendees; and we’re leaving today for a family road trip. You know, been a wee bit busy.
However, we did manage to babysit our neice, Charlotte Lulu (who I absolutely adore, but who was also further proof that I am still not ready for “number 2″), enjoy Opera in the Park in Dolores Park, work on writing with Quinn and get our groove on, or at least Quinn did.
Got to bed last night around 3:30 a.m. and today we’re looking at a 7 hour drive. Oh joy. Seriously, though, I love road trips as does Quinn so we’re pretty excited. He’s got his portable DVD player (which he only gets to use for long road trips) and we’ve got “A Scanner Darkly” on cd so we should all be duly entertainted. And of course we will “interact” and “sing songs” and “play road games” — you know, the stuff we did on road trips when we were kids. Because as tempting as it is to just plug into all the available media, it’s the interactions that build memories, right? So we’ll be sure to interact for at least 15 minutes of the drive. Heh.
I’m going to try to post a bit while we’re on holiday but we’ll see how it goes. This is our time to check out as much as possible (yeah, right!)
Well, I’ve got to run and actually pack…
